Chapter 108

Seashell Cove Part Three

Deimos was sleeping that morning. He wore his blue plaid pajamas. Tristan was in the shower. The door creaked open, and Arnie poked his head in. He had a lecherous grin plastered on his face. He zipped up to Deimos, lifted the covers off, and gazed at his bare feet. He started licking on them and sucking on them. Deimos groaned and kicked his feet, kicking Arnie in the face. Arnie fell back on his ass with a bloody nose.

His eyes lit up and he sucked on Deimos’ feet. Deimos stirred in his sleep.

Deimos: “T-Tristan?”

He said groggily and sat up, blinking hard. His vision was blurry, and then he saw Arnie licking his feet. His face contorted with rage.

Deimos: “YOU FUCKING PERVERT!”

He bellowed and kicked him right in the face. Arnie slammed back into the wall. Tristan stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist.

Tristan: “D-Deimos?!”

Deimos leaped out of bed and delivered a powerful back kick to Arnie’s stomach, sending him crashing into the railing out of their bedroom.

Deimos panted as he stood over him.

Deimos: “DON’T DO THAT AGAIN, YOU FUCKIN’ PSYCHO!”

He barked and stormed back into his bedroom, slamming the door.

~

Deimos stepped out of the shower with a towel around his waist and saw Tristan in front of the mirror brushing his long, snow white hair. He wore a light blue polo shirt, dark blue shorts, and dark blue slip-on vans. Deimos stood there admiring him. He always thought he looked good no matter what he wore, and Tristan knew how to present himself.

He strolled to him, embraced him from behind, and kissed his neck. Tristan laughed as Deimos’ lips pressed against his neck.

Tristan: “Hehehehehehehe!”

He faced him, and the two kissed.

Tristan: “So, what was that about, and why do you keep giving that man what he wants?”

He asked coyly. The smile on Deimos’ face faded.

Deimos: “Because that fucking thing was licking and sucking on my feet as I slept!”

He blew out an exasperated breath. Tristan heaved a deep sigh and caressed Deimos’ face.

Tristan: “You’re caught between a rock and a hard place. If you do nothing, he continues. If you beat him, he continues with this.”

Deimos smiled at Tristan’s tender touch. He took Tristan’s hand and kissed it.

Tristan: “I guess enjoy the vacation. We will be returning home on Tuesday, so we won’t ever have to see him again.”

He nodded. Deimos smiled tightly.

Deimos leaned into Tristan’s ear. Tristan shivered, and it tickled his ear somewhat.

Deimos: “You know, that swimming hole? Maybe we could have some privacy…”

He susurrated. Tristan snickered.

Tristan: “Do you think that’s possible with so many people around?”

He said softly. Deimos laughed a bit.

Deimos: “Probably not…”

He sighed and kissed his temple.

Deimos: “It would be nice to have some at that swimming hole. It’s beautiful.”

Tristan nodded.

Tristan: “It is.”

~

Celeste and Jesse were walking into the forest and came across the stream. Celeste wore a Morbid Kill tank top, spiked collar, Daisy Duke shorts, torn fishnets, and knee-high boots. Jesse carried a large net for catching eels. Celeste knelt by the stream and set the basket beside her.

Jesse: “Here, use this.”

He handed her the net. She stared at it and looked down into the stream. She saw an eel swim by. With cat-like prowess, she moved her hands at lightning speed, catching it and throwing it into the basket. Jesse gaped at her, his eyes rounded.

Jesse: “H-How do you do that?”

Celeste: “Just learned.”

She said noncommittally. She saw another eel swim by. Her hands flew in grabbing it, and she threw it into the basket. Jesse knelt beside her and watched her catch the eels with cat-like grace.

Celeste heard heavy panting and swerved her head to see who was there. The panting stopped.

Celeste: “Did you hear that?”

She asked. Jesse shook his head.

Jesse: “No? Hear what?”

He looked to where she was looking. The sound of birds chirping and a mourning dove call was all they heard.

Jesse: “It was probably just a deer… or Josh looking at ya.”

He muttered and looked away. Celeste flicked her gaze at him.

Celeste: “Nah, Josh would have come out if it were him.”

She drawled and looked back into the woods.

Jesse: “Must’ve been a deer. Go catch more eels!”

He urged her. Celeste swerved her head back to the stream and reached in, grabbing another eel and putting it in the basket.

~

Jaxon was out on the balcony that afternoon. He wore a silk red snakeskin button-up shirt with the buttons undone to expose his chest dragon tattoo, tight black jeans, and he had his sheer-socked feet up on the railing. Chelsea came out wearing a lilac button-up shirt and a purple plaid micromini skirt, and high-heeled loafers. She brightened when she saw Jaxon and unsnapped a few of her buttons on her blouse.

She sauntered over to Jaxon.

Chelsea: “Hello, Jaxon!”

She chirped and sat by him. She bit her lip, admiring his sexy body and good looks.

Jaxon: “Hey, Chelsea, how are you holding up?”

He asked.

Chelsea: “Very good, actually!”

She chirped. She looked at his feet. She never got a good look at them, but he thought his feet were sexy. She loved how clean they looked, and they didn’t stink. He wore sheer socks, which she loved. She loved how he always looked good.

Chelsea: “So, I-I wanted to thank you for doing what you did for me… I want to show you my gratitude…”

She swayed her hips with her arms behind her back.

Jaxon: “Oh, yeah, what’s that?”

He smiled.

Chelsea: “This!”

She giggled and tickled his feet. Jaxon’s eyes widened.

Jaxon: “HahahahahHahahaHahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!”

He laughed. She grinned and scribbled her nails all over his sheer socked feet.

Jaxon: “HahahahahaHahahahHahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!”

He laughed and scrunched his feet. She smirked and tucked her nails into the hem of his socks and took them off. She vigorously scribbled her nails all over his soles.

Jaxon: “WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahhahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

He laughed and squirmed.

Celeste heard Jaxon’s laughter coming from the balcony. She went out to investigate and saw Chelsea tickling his feet. She smirked, dashed up to them, and joined in tickling him. Chelsea’s eyebrows rose. Celeste grinned and stroked her nails against Jaxon’s soft soles. Jaxon’s laughter grew louder and more intense as her fingers joined in.

Jaxon: “HAHAHAHHAHAHAHEHEHEHEAHAHAHAHOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

He squirmed and laughed as tears welled in his eyes. Chelsea’s and Celeste’s nails scribbled all over his soft toes, and Celeste dug her nails in between his toes.

Jaxon: “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHEHEHEHEAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAHAHAHAHAH!”

He roared with laughter as tears dripped down his cheeks. Celeste tickled the tops of his feet, and Chelsea dragged her nails all over his soles.

Jaxon: “HAHAHAHAHEHEHHEEHEHHEHEHEEHEHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”

He rasped through laughter. He breathed ragged breaths between laughing as his face was tear-streaked. His face was as red as his streak.

Josh came onto the balcony in a furious rage.

Josh: “THE FUCK IS THIS?!”

He thundered. Celeste and Chelsea ceased tickling Jaxon. Jaxon panted and looked up at Josh.

Jaxon: “The fuck do you want?”

He huffed between short breaths.

Josh marched to Chelsea and punched her across the face. She screamed and crashed into a table. Jaxon glared at him and was now red from anger. He staggered to his feet.

Jaxon: “YOU ASSHOLE!”

He snapped at him.

Josh: “AND YOU’RE COMING WITH ME!”

He grabbed Celeste’s arm. Celeste glared at him. Jaxon’s fury soared.

Jaxon: “OH NO, SHE’S NOT!”

He snapped. Celeste yanked it away, punched him in the gut, and kicked him in the groin. Josh gasped as he had the wind knocked out of him. Tears filled his eyes as he keeled over in pain.

Celeste: “Fuck off already.”

She spat.

Jaxon: “STAY AWAY FROM US!”

He snapped at him, kicking him as he lay on the ground.

Chelsea was crying as she staggered up. Jaxon turned to her.

Jaxon: “Hey, look over there!”

He pointed off in the distance to distract her while he healed her. Chelsea laughed through tears as she looked over there. She thought it was cute how he did that. She smiled and blushed.

Chelsea: “Thanks, Jaxon…”

She said softly.

Josh staggered to get up but was met with Tristan’s ice sword.

Tristan: “Don’t.”

He said coldly.

Josh: “FUCK YOU, FROSTY THE SNOWBITCH!”

He bellowed and went to strike Tristan, but Deimos stood in front of Tristan and delivered a powerful uppercut to Josh’s jaw. Josh groaned and crashed on the floor, passing out.

Jaxon: “Thanks, guys!”

He smiled at them. Tristan shattered his ice sword.

Tristan: “Don’t mention it.”

Jaxon: “Teamwork!”

Celeste: “Now fuck this sack of shit and we’ll have grilled eels. I caught ‘em!”

She said proudly.

Tristan: “I love eel!”

He said with sparkles in his eyes.

~

Josh and Britney were out in the woods having sex. She was riding him and moaning loudly as he thrust her.

Britney: “O-OH, JOSH!”

She cried as an orgasm ripped through her.

She lay beside him as he smoked a cigar.

Josh: “Man, I wish I could have Celeste ride me.”

Britney rolled her eyes.

Britney: “You told me they were all bullying you!”

She said sharply. Josh turned to her.

Josh: “They are, babe! It’s that fuckin’ Chinese boy and Frosty the Snowbitch!”

He said in a high-pitched squawk.

Britney: “And Chelsea? What are you gonna do about her?”

She asked irritably as she wagged her head. Josh smirked. His lips spread to show his even, white teeth.

Josh: “She’s already been taken care of. The Josh leaves no loose threads.”

He said loftily and lay back on the log with his hands behind his head.

Britney noticed something beside him. She reached over and picked it up. It was a cigarillo butt.

Britney: “Any of the people staying at your place smoke these, babe?”

Josh examined it and shrugged.

Josh: “Don’t think so, babe. That Chinese boy smokes cigarettes, same with Frosty the Snowbitch and his lame karate kid boyfriend. Celeste smokes Lady Cigs. My dad and I smoke cigars. I dunno. It’s a big forest. Lots of people come in and out. Don’t worry, babe! The Josh will protect ya!”

He grinned. Britney giggled and lay on his chest.

~

Jaxon leaned against the tree outside, smoking. Josh had already driven away before they had dinner and hasn’t been seen since. Celeste was sleeping from the big meal she had eaten. Deimos was inside playing video games with Jesse. Tristan was on the deck reading. Joe sauntered to Jaxon and inhaled a long drag from his cigar.

Joe: “Hey, Jaxon?”

He asked him with worry in his eyes and sipped on his glass of bourbon.

Jaxon: “Yo, Joe?”

He asked.

Joe: “Chelsea hasn’t shown up all evening, not even for dinner. I figured it was because she and Josh had a bad fight. Josh is out with another woman. Would you look for her? I saw Josh take her into the woods.”

He explained with strain. Jaxon’s expression darkened.

Jaxon: “What did that asshole do this time?!”

He drew a breath. He dropped his cigarette, scraped over it with his boot, and rushed into the woods to look for her again.

~

Jaxon ventured into the dark woods, hearing nothing but the sounds of crickets chirping, owls hooting, and the stream nearby.

Jaxon: “CHELSEA!”

He called out for her, scanning the woods around him. He walked up to the swimming hole, and there was no sign of her, and ventured further into the dark woods.

He walked across a bridge into a heavily wooded area. He came across an area with an old cemetery with a rusty spear fence, where the tombstones had mold and moss growing on them. He saw no one in there and strolled further down into the forest.

He stumbled onto an old abandoned sanctuary. It had a steeple with moss growing on the stone siding. The wood on the steeple was rotting away with time.

Jaxon: “CHELSEA?!”

He called out for her, strolling over to the old sanctuary, stepping over the rubble on the floor, and pushing the door open. It creaked open with a screech that echoed through the walls. Inside was a stone floor with stained glass arched windows. The moonlight illuminated the building and cast through the windows, reflecting off the ground. He walked down the aisle, past the dusty and wooden pews, covered in spiderwebs, looking around for Chelsea, but there was no purple in sight.

Something crawled over his boot. It was a cockroach. Jaxon yelped.

Jaxon: “SHIT!”

He gasped and rushed back outside. He took a deep breath and ventured further into the forest. He paused when he heard Chelsea weeping.

Jaxon: “Chelsea?!”

He knit his eyebrows and turned in the direction of the weeping. He rushed up and saw her kneeling. She had more bruises on her face and legs.

Chelsea: “JAXON!?”

She cried.

Jaxon: “CHELSEA? What happened?!”

He gasped at the sight of her. She tried to get up, but vines were wrapped around her legs.

Chelsea: “Josh beat me and shoved me down! I’m stuck!”

She sobbed. Jaxon twisted his mouth.

Jaxon: “That fucking ASSHOLE! Why don’t you leave him?!”

He snapped. He knelt to her and took her hand, pulling her towards him. The vines untangled, releasing from her. She took his hand and clung to him, sobbing. Jaxon sighed and held her back, and a red glow came from his hands as he healed her.

Chelsea: “Th-Thanks, Jaxon…”

She sighed and closed her eyes over.

Jaxon: “Enough is enough. You need to leave that guy! We will be heading back home soon, so we won’t be around, so end it now!”

He said firmly. She nodded.

Chelsea: “I will.”

She said earnestly.

Jaxon: “I hope you do.”

He smiled a bit. She smiled back at him.

Chelsea: “Jaxon?”

She asked as she gazed into his almond brown eyes.

Jaxon: “Yes?”

He asked, lighting up a cigarette. Chelsea paused and blushed.

Chelsea: “Th-Thank you…”

She said softly.

Chelsea: “For everything…”

She smiled at him.

Jaxon: “No problem!”

He smiled back at her.

Jaxon: “Let’s head back!”

He nodded to her.

Suddenly, they heard loud banging in the woods. It sounded like drums banging followed by a loud, animalistic howl and grunt. Chelsea screamed and clung to Jaxon’s chest. There were more bangs followed by a loud call.

Jaxon: “Wh-What the fuck?!”

He stammered, dropped his cigarette, and grabbed her arm.

Jaxon: “Let’s get the fuck OUT of here!”

He said with haste, rushing through the woods with her.

Something jumped before the two. It was a ten-foot-tall hulking tree with yellow eyes, a gaping mouth with thick branches for arms and trunks for legs. Chelsea clung to Jaxon and screamed.

Jaxon: “What the FUCK is THAT?!”

He gasped at it, turning on his heel to get away.

Jaxon: “NOPE! We’re not about to find out!”

He shook his head. The tree lamoris swung its claw branches at Jaxon, slicing at his back. Jaxon yelled in pain. Chelsea screamed.

Chelsea: “JAXON!”

She cried. Jaxon winced. A red glow surrounded him as he healed his back scratches.

The creature let out the same ghastly call and stretched its arm to Jaxon. Its claws sank into his arm and pinning him to the trunk. Jaxon cried in pain and slowly turned to look to see the monster’s claws embedded in his arm.

The monster’s other arm stretched out to Jaxon, grabbing his shoulder and drawing blood. Jaxon grunted in pain. He panted as the pain coursed through his body, and it made it harder to concentrate on healing himself. His blood dripped onto the ground. Chelsea stood there, trembling in fear as tears streamed down her cheeks.

The monster stepped menacingly toward Jaxon, opening its big mouth with sharp teeth. The ground shook with heavy footsteps. Jaxon turned his head and gnashed his teeth, glaring at the Lamoris. Chelsea sobbed and wailed as the creature stepped toward Jaxon.

Suddenly, the creature’s arms were sliced off with large icicles, releasing Jaxon. The creature let out a bloodcurdling howl that filled the air. Tristan stood there.

Tristan: “I got you, Jaxon.”

He nodded. Jaxon glanced up at Tristan and smiled.

Jaxon: “Thanks, man!”

He nodded. He shut his eyes tightly as he tried to pull the branch from his arm. He let out a hoarse shout as he pulled it out, tossing it aside and healing his arm and shoulder.

The creature shot out vines at Tristan, grabbing him and wrapping him against a tree trunk. The thorns dug into his skin, drawing blood. Tristan winced in pain. The vines slashed at his chest, and he cried out. Blood trickled down his leg and from his mouth. Tristan had to think quickly. He formed an ice sword and slashed them away, freeing himself.

He slid down. Jaxon rushed to him, and a red glow surrounded him as he healed him.

Jaxon: “Here you go, man!”

Tristan nodded.

Tristan: “Thank you! Please protect Chelsea. I got this.”

Jaxon nodded and went to Chelsea, but vines shot up and wrapped around his arms and legs. The vines constricted around him, their thorns digging into his skin. He gritted his teeth.

Jaxon: “FUCK!”

He bellowed.

Chelsea: “JAXON!”

She cried.

Tristan formed an ice sword to free Jaxon. Vines shot up from the ground, their tendrils wrapping around Tristan’s legs and arms, constricting him tightly. Tristan grunted in pain, glaring at the monster. He recalled reading the research papers on the “Lamoris,” and they can be killed if you destroy the core. I have to get to the core, but where is it?! He wondered. His blood dripped onto the ground.

Tristan glared at the monster. The core must be in the root, of course, he thought. He concentrated on the monster stomping toward Jaxon.

Jaxon: “Oh, fuck no!”

He hissed as he tried to back away against his restraints.

Tristan: “GET AWAY FROM HIM!”

He bellowed. A large spike of ice shot up from the ground, right through the tree. The tree caterwauled in pain as it split in half, tree branches and a black, tar-like substance dropping to the ground.

The vines around Tristan and Jaxon loosened. Tristan brushed them away. Jaxon healed both Tristan and himself and broke out of his bonds.

Jaxon: “Thanks, man!”

He panted.

Tristan: “You’re welcome.”

He said genially.

Chelsea ran to Jaxon and clung to him.

Chelsea: “JAXON!”

She cried.

Jaxon: “How are you doing?”

He asked her.

Chelsea: “Th-That thing…”

She began as she sobbed on Jaxon.

Chelsea: “It was Josh’s! Josh wanted that thing to kill me!”

She wailed. Tristan froze. Jaxon gaped at her.

Jaxon: “...What do you mean it was his?!”

He pressed her. Chelsea cleared her throat.

Chelsea: “About three years ago, he bought this thing called a ‘lamoris.’ The thing ate Jesse’s dog, Gizmo, and Joe ordered Josh to get rid of it.”

She embraced herself. Tristan gaped at her, his mouth ajar. Jaxon’s jaw dropped, and he felt sick to his stomach.

Jaxon: “A fucking Lamoris?! Of course!”

He gaped.

Jaxon: “THAT’S IT! You need to end things with that guy! How could you be with a guy who does this shit?!”

He said firmly, feeling for the dog and the attempt on her life now, too.

Tristan: “This is what Deimos and I were both trying to tell you, Chelsea.”

He added. Chelsea nodded.

Chelsea: “I am going to.”

She replied.

Chelsea: “But… I don’t want to be in this town anymore. I think… I want to live in Pink Top City.”

She said earnestly. Jaxon’s eyebrows rose surprisingly.

Jaxon: “...You want to come back with us?”

He smiled a bit. Chelsea nodded and smiled.

Chelsea: “I do, Jaxon!”

She sang.

Jaxon: “A fresh start will be good for you!”

He nodded, thinking of when he did the same.

Jaxon: “After I left my crazy-ex, I started fresh there and it was the best choice I ever made!”

He assured her.

Jaxon: “ ‘cause I met my Green Queen and these guys!”

He said earnestly, looking up at Tristan.

Tristan: “Of course! We’re with you all the way, Jaxon. No matter what happens.”

He said sincerely as they started to head back.

~

When they headed back, Tristan went up to the lodge. Chelsea stayed with Jaxon and gazed at him.

Chelsea: “Thanks, Jaxon…”

She said softly. She stood on her tippy-toes to kiss his cheek. Jaxon reddened a bit.

Jaxon: “Uhh, no problem!”

He chuckled and smiled at her. She bit her bottom lip.

~

Deimos stormed out.

Deimos: “You always do this, Tristan! You could have told me! I can come to protect you!”

He snapped.

Tristan: “I didn’t know there would be that thing out there, Deimos! Joe asked Jaxon to look for Chelsea, and I followed in case Josh did something!”

He cried.

Deimos: “I can handle Josh, and I can handle monsters! You shouldn’t be dealing with that! These hands are not meant to get dirty!”

He stomped his foot.

Tristan: “Deimos, don’t be irrational!”

Deimos: “STOP SAYING THAT!”

He said with hurt in his tone.

Arnie approached Deimos.

Arnie: “There’s a hot guy in the woods. He wouldn’t kick my ass.”

Deimos: “The FUCK are you on about?!”

He snapped.

Arnie: “A hot guy in the woods wouldn’t kick my ass.”

He drawled. Tristan hung his head and removed his glasses to wipe his eyes. Deimos roared and stormed off.

~

Chelsea went into the lodge to tell Joe and Betsy that she’s leaving Josh and that he never got rid of the Lamoris. Joe bowed his head.

Joe: “We’re really sorry, Chelsea, but… we understand. We’ll throw you a get-together party tomorrow.”

Betsy: “We’re going to miss you, hon.”

Chelsea: “I’d love that!”

She nodded.

She saw Jaxon enter the lodge. She went up to him.

Chelsea: “I don’t know if Josh will be back, and I don’t care. I will leave the next day with you guys.”

She said softly to him. Jaxon’s eyebrows rose surprisingly.

Jaxon: “Really?! That’s great! I’m happy for you! Everything will be better, I promise!”

He smiled at her.

Chelsea: “I’d ask you and Deimos to play for the bonfire, but… Deimos and Tristan are fighting…”

She said with unease in her tone. Jaxon’s eyebrows rose.

Jaxon: “Oh?! What’s going on?”

He asked.

Chelsea: “Deimos is upset Tristan didn’t ask him to come to help you.”

She admitted with strain. Jaxon drew a breath and shook his head.

Jaxon: “Look, it’s our last night here and you’ve been through hell, so I’ll play you something, just for you!”

He smiled at her. Chelsea clasped her hands as her eyes sparkled.

Chelsea: “YAY! Thanks, Jaxon!”

She jumped up for joy and threw her arms around him. Jaxon smiled at her and hugged her back.

~

Jaxon went up to his and Celeste’s bedroom to change his shirt. He shrugged out of his torn shirt and threw on a black shirt with golden embroidered dragons on each side. He buttoned it up and smiled at Celeste, who was sound asleep in her bed, still in her clothes she wore that day. Jaxon smiled down at her and stroked her hair, kissing her head. He grabbed his guitar and sauntered back out of the room to join Chelsea at the bonfire.

~

Jaxon sauntered outside with his guitar, joining Chelsea at the bonfire. She sat alone, waiting for him with a blanket draped over her legs to keep her warm. The night sky was full of a blanket of stars, and the night air was quiet with the warmth of the bonfire surrounding them.

Jaxon sat down beside her with his guitar, gently plucking the strings. They gazed up at the night sky, marveling at its beauty. A comet zipped past them.

Jaxon: “It’s a nice night out, and look at that sky! Isn’t it amazing? There’s a whole world out there we don’t know?”

His voice trailed off. Chelsea looked up at him with stars in her eyes. He’s so gorgeous, she thought. Her heart thundered in her chest as her cheeks flushed pink.

Jaxon: “Makes me feel so tiny and insignificant in the grand scheme of stuff.”

He laughed.

Chelsea smiled widely. She nestled closer to him and leaned on his shoulder. Jaxon smiled down at her and sighed as he plucked his guitar strings.

Chelsea: “Well, you saved me. You’re not tiny to me.”

She said as her hand trailed down his arm. Jaxon brightened.

Jaxon: “Thank you! You’re not tiny either! You still have your whole life ahead of you! You have bigger and better things ahead of you!”

He assured her.

Chelsea: “You think so?”

She reddened. Jaxon nodded.

Jaxon: “Absolutely! What do you want to do with your life?”

He asked, continuing to strum his strings.

Chelsea: “I’d love to be a librarian.”

She said as she bit her bottom lip, flicking her gaze on his chest. Jaxon smiled at her.

Jaxon: “You wouldn’t kick me out for being too loud?”

He teased, strumming his strings louder. Chelsea giggled.

Chelsea: “Hehehehehe, no.”

She gazed at him. She reached out and caressed his bare chest and leaned up to kiss him. Jaxon’s eyes widened, before he could respond, Tristan emerged from the darkness with a bottle of wine. He flopped down on the log and cried into his hands. Chelsea pouted a bit and then gazed at Tristan.

Tristan: “I messed everything up, again!”

He bawled.

Jaxon: “The fuck are you talking about? You kicked ass out there!”

He replied.

Tristan: “I know, Jaxon, but Deimos has to protect me! He gets upset if he doesn’t!”

He cried and gulped down more wine.

Jaxon: “Give me that!”

He sighed, grabbing the wine off him. Tristan sobbed into his hands.

Arnie sauntered up to the bonfire and gazed at Jaxon. He took off his glasses and put them back on again.

Arnie: “Hey, Jaxon?”

He asked.

Jaxon: “Yes?”

He pressed him.

Arnie: “Do you have a hot brother?”

He asked him and scratched his ass.

Jaxon: “The fuck?! He’s not hot, he’s evil, and he wouldn’t be interested in you, so don’t even bother!”

He said sharply.

Arnie: “I know. I asked him to kick my ass in the woods and he didn’t.”

He sighed. Jaxon froze, and his blood ran cold.

Jaxon: “...WHAT?”

He shot up from his seat in a panicked fury.

Arnie: “Yeah, does he wear glasses, a lab coat, and has short spiky hair? I asked him to kick my ass and he didn’t. Now that I look at it, he’s your hot brother.”

He drawled. Chelsea looked up at Jaxon. Tristan paused. Jaxon’s blood ran cold.

Jaxon: “YES.”

He bellowed.

Jaxon: “FUCKING ICHIRO IS HERE?!”

He panted and turned to Tristan. Tristan wiped his eyes.

Tristan: “I assume so, Jaxon. I am so sorry I am in this state!”

He cried.

Deimos marched up to the bonfire.

Deimos: “I heard you scream Ichiro’s name. What the fuck is going on?”

He asked them.

Tristan: “Arnie came across Ichiro in the woods.”

Deimos froze.

Chelsea: “Jaxon?!”

She rose to him and put her hands on his arm.

Chelsea: “What do we do?!”

She asked with panic.

Deimos: “Should I get Celeste?”

He asked Jaxon. Jaxon’s heart sank, and he wagged his head.

Jaxon: “No! I will go get her!”

He exclaimed, rushing back to their room to find her.

Jaxon’s heart shattered when he saw that Celeste was gone from her bed.

Jaxon: “SHIT! SHIT!”

He gasped, looking around for her.

Jaxon: “CELESTE?!”

He called out for her. Deimos rushed up to Jaxon.

Deimos: “Jaxon, it’s okay! We’re going to go find her!”

He nodded to him.

Tristan: “Yes, we’re with you all the way.”

He reassured him. Jaxon beamed.

Jaxon: “Right, let’s go!”

He nodded.

Deimos: “Tristan, please rest! Jaxon and I will be fine!”

He hissed.

Tristan: “NO! I can’t, Deimos! Celeste is my friend, and so is Jaxon!”

They all looked towards the woods. Jaxon nodded in agreement.

Jaxon: “Are you kidding me, Deimos? We need an ATTACK power! His ice powers are so Facerock! He was so awesome earlier!”

He exclaimed as he ran into the woods. Deimos pouted and said nothing. I should have been protecting him.

~

Chelsea watched them go and clutched her chest. I didn’t get to tell Jaxon I love him, she thought. Then a hand clasped over her mouth. She screamed and locked her gaze on something. She slowly lost consciousness until everything went black.
